The Online qualification stage was played in two groups of eight teams and it came to an end with the top two placing teams of each group advancing to the finals. In both groups, one of the teams finished the stage with no defeats, while the other teams showed closer competition.

ETeng managed to easily top group A, with no losses in their seven matches, and their only close match coming in a 16-13 victory over NEW4 on de_mirage. TyLoo faced a similar situation in group B, as the only team who managed to score double digits against them was c63d on de_nuke.

In the first group, New4 finished with a 6-1 record and advanced over violent and Agfox, that scored four wins. ZINCTHAI GAMING started their way with a 1-16 loss against EDCC, but then won the remaining matches apart from TyLoo, getting a spot in the finals with a 5-2 record.

The LAN finals will take place at Chinese National E-Sports Arena in Beijing, China between August 17-19th. In the first 2012 ECL season, TyLoo managed to get on top while ETeng scored the season two.
