Killer
Qualcomm Atheros' high-performance Killer™ technology enables intelligent networking solutions to improve the way people enjoy the Internet. The technology is used in WLAN and Ethernet solutions for computers requiring high-performance gaming experiences and is deployed in platforms of leading OEMs. The explosion of online applications and content, and the growing number of devices that access these applications, places increased stress on consumer endpoints. Killer technology is well positioned to address this challenge with solutions that intelligently manage, prioritize and direct digital content on home and mobile networks. Killer and other technologies were initially developed at Bigfoot Networks. Bigfoot Networks' team and technology were acquired in August, 2011 by Qualcomm Atheros, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Qualcomm Incorporated., to deliver value-added intelligent networking solutions dedicated to enhancing the end user networking experience.
