After two disappointing ESEA Invite seasons and a choked IEM 6 GC New York performance, the team lead by former EG Danny "fRoD" Montaner decided to disband.Roughly a year ago, ex coL and EG members Danny "fRoD" Montaner and Tyler "Storm" Wood teamed up with Spencer "hiko" Martin, Dustin "dizzaman" Dilyerd and David "Xp3" Garrido after the former two players were removed from Evil Geniuses.
The squad was not allowed to take part in the on-going ESEA Invite season back then. Also, they had to drop the participation at IEM 6 GC Guangzhou because they were unable to find a sponsor to cover the travel expenses.
At their IEM 6 GC New York participation, the team was knocked out in the group stage after two defeats versus
SK Gaming and
WinFakt Fi. The loss streak went on when they failed to make it into the finals of ESEA Invite season 10 when they bowed out against
UMX Gaming in the consolidation finals.
After a change in the lineup, this time bringing in
Matt 'Warden' Dickens, the team once again failed to impress, as they were overpowered by
Maximum Effort in a 4-32 overall loss.
Check Six lineup were:
Dustin "dizzaman" Dilyerd
Danny "fRoD" Montaner
Tyler "Storm" Wood
Matt "Warden" Dickens
David "Xp3" Garrido
Garrido has signed up ESEA Invite season 12 to compete in Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, despite of the coming up season still featuring Counter-Strike 1.6 with a prize pool under $20,000. There are no reports on what the other members of the team might plan to do in the future.
