Collapse seems to be the team to beat in Modern Warfare 3 lately. With EGL coming up in early August, they finally found an organization which can fund their travel to Europe and which they can represent!apeX have made themselves a name by picking up some of the best teams in the world. The most famous one was the OpTic Gaming line up that won EGL 5 under the flag of apeX. After some ups and downs, the team left the org to be part of OpTic Gaming again.
The apeX management found some good replacement though. After having picked up an Australian team and a new EU team recently, they have now picked up MLG Pro Team Collapse. Under the lead of
Christopher 'Parasite' Duarte the team wants to step up to what OpTic Gaming has reached under the flag of apeX, winning EGL 5.
The upcoming EGL event in Blackpool seems to become more and more interesting in the meanwhile. There are some NA teams supposed to come in FeaR, OpTic Gaming, apeX.Collapse and maybe even enVy.US. This could increase the competition of the event massively and bring it on a completely new level, even in terms of publicity, as many American people would watch the EGL stream and follow the tournament. We will see what the future brings.
