The first phase consists of 4 groups of 4 teams in a Bo3 round robin format. The top 3 teams from each group move on to the second phase. The tournament resumes after gamescom on August 22, with the second phase of The Siege being a similar group stage, only with one less team per group, also a round robin Bo3.
The final phase of The Siege is a familiar double elimination Bo3 format between the remaining 8 teams. The grand finals will be a Bo7 however, with the team from the winner's bracket starting 2:0.
Currently SK Gaming has confirmed they will be participating as an invited team.
Stay tuned as we here at SK will update this article when more information about the participating teams becomes available.

I'm the ACM for LoL.NA. I think one of the best things about E-Sports is the connections and communities that are built around the game. My hope is that we can get E-Sports on the same level of traditional sports in the broader world's minds.
