Today marks another very important day in the world of E-Sports. Another shift in the Korean StarCraft scene is upon us as the first of two qualifiers get underway for the OnGameNet Starleague Season 1.

Since the start of Korean StarCraft II the GSL has been the premier tournament for players to compete and win. Now they have some competition inside Korea. Korean players will have two tournaments to work for and the level of play among professionals will only increase.

OSL was responsible for a vast majority of history in the Brood War scene but now it marks the start for a new chapter in StarCraft II E-Sports.

There will be two qualifiers set starting with the Non-KeSPA open which has already taken place with 12 players advancing as well as 4 seeded players.

Before the qualifiers four players were chosen to be seeded based on GSL and Foreign tournament results. Including SK's own Min Chul 'MC' Jang.

It's no surprise that these players were chosen, all have been dominant through out their careers in StarCraft II. Hopefully this will continue into season 1 of the OnGameNet Starleague.

After a long day of games 12 players emerged from the groups claiming their spot in the first OSL.

The next stage of the qualifiers will be the KeSPA preliminaries will be held on July 19th.

Stay tuned for more information regarding OSL as the KeSPA preliminaries are sure to be amazing.
