ImageLeague of Legends scene is getting more crowded and competitive, this time, with Azubu stepping forward and supporting their new teams.

Azubu takes another step forward into the professional League of Legends scene, after sponsoring both OGN League of Legends Spring and Summer tournaments. The German company recently picked up the two finalists of the OGN Spring tournament - KR MiG Blaze and KR MiG Frost.

The team’s names have now been changed to KR Azubu Frost and KR Azubu Blaze. Both rosters will still remain the same. The organisation also announced that they have more teams in their mind for other platforms and games in professional eSport.

Azubu released a statement about the agreement with both teams and their new sponsor:

"MiG is a team that we have been keeping an eye on since March. We were very pleased with their strong results. Based on that performance, we decided to recruit them and establish the Azubu team. Azubu Frost and Azubu Blaze will have our continued support. The Azubu team is and will be the best in the world. To compare it with soccer, we would like to become the Real Madrid of e-sports."

The team coach, KR Hyun-Jong Kang, said the following:

"From the beginning MiG aimed to be the best in the world. Now that we have signed on with a global company, Azubu, we feel like we are one step closer to that goal. Even though we won first and second place in the Spring Season, we aren’t going to settle. We are going to try even harder."
