The GESL Invitational wasn't exactly an example for a well organised LAN event - no Internet for hours at the start, no tournament realm available, big delays for most of the matches and on top of that - the NA servers weren't working for a while during the weekend, which of course isn't their fault, but contributed to the players' discontent. None of this stood in the way of Team SoloMid 's third 1st place at LAN events in only three weeks though - they consecutively sweeped the competition in the RoG Invitational, MLG Anaheim and GESL, leaving little doubt about who is the best NA team at the moment.

TSM played against their biggest NA rivals Counter Logic Gaming in the semifinals and sent them to the match for third place with their favorite result lately: 2-1. In the other semifinal, surprisingly for some, Counter Logic Gaming Black defeated the youngsters from Dynamic 2-0 and showed that they're not just your average B team. They didn't have the strength to beat TSM in the final, but showed good performance and started making a name for themselves.

Before the RoG Invitational TSM did state that they are going for 3 out of 3 1st places and they didn't disappoint their fans. The NA team has definitely shown that they are a strong contender for the title of Season 2 Champion, but will they keep their stable performance until October?
