Electronic Sports League will be returning to Katowice, Poland for an EMS One season. Now with the support of Intel, ASUS and Valve, with the help of the Counter-Strike community we will see yet another tournament with stunningly large prize pool and that is total of $250,000.

ESL has been widely involved in Counter-Strike's competitive history as they held six seasons of Intel Extreme Masters in Hannover, Germany until deciding in early 2012 to drop CS 1.6 from future seasons. However, ESL did not completely count out Counter-Strike as they provided the community with several CS:GO tournaments, which are the EMS One seasons in Cologne, as well as a few ESL Pro Series challenges. The EMS One tournament in Katowice will take place on March 14-16th 2014.

This will be the second tournament funded by Valve, thanks to the Arms Deal update. The first one was DreamHack Winter 2013 that was held in Jönköping, Sweden, which had over 100.000 viewers world wide.

The teams from DreamHack Winter that took the top eight places are directly invited, while the other eight spots will be filled via online qualifiers. The following teams has been directly invited:
