WCG are not going to feature CS 1.6

ImageAfter IEM, World Cyber Games, as one of the biggest LAN events in the world, will maybe drop Counter-Strike 1.6 as well.

Rumours have been made on that WCG are not going to feature CS 1.6 in 2012. World Cyber Games itself has neither confirmed the rumours nor did they deny them. According to WCGs website they are still featuring Counter-Strike 1.6 due to the next event which will be held in Kunshan, China.

As we announced earlier today IEM are not going to feature CS 1.6 anymore, because of the negative global popularity of the game. If World Cyber Games drops Counter-Strike 1.6 as well, they would be the second major event who stopped the support of CS 1.6 in the future.

What do you think about WCG dropping CS 1.6? Do you think this rumour will be proven wrong? Leave your comments below.
