The danish eSrael CS team just won the Spring Cup 2012 against Team Alternate with a score of 2:0 in maps. The winner of the tournament got more than $1.200 in cash as well as hardware prizes and the chance to showcase their talent offline in Moscow later this year. The Spring Cup 2012 has come to an end. 800 teams signed up for it and after todays online finals, the danish team of multigaming organization eSrael was crowned as the champions and secured their place for the final battle offline event in Moscow that will be held in September this year.
Six teams out of 800 registered made it to the play-offs. One from Germany, two from Denmark and three from Russia, but with Team Alternate and eSrael only two of them qualified for the LAN event in September.
As said Germans and Danes both had secured a spot for the offline event but still had to play for the hardware and money prizes in a best-of-three online shootout.
The match was played on de_inferno and de_tuscan. The first map ending in a very close match with a score of 19-17 in eSrael's favor. In the second map Alternate tried a comeback, but got stopped right after the pistol rounds and lost the map with the final score of 16-4. After a very interesting first map Alternate basically couldn't live up to the expectations, delivering a rather unspectular performance.
On a sidenote, Anexis took the third place against Virtus.pro with 2 - 1 in maps. See the final standings below.
