One of the most-successful DotA and Dota 2 players, Amel 'PlaymatE' Barudzija, will now be ultimately hanging up his mouse and leave not only his team, Copenhagen Wolves , but all aspects of the game all together. His reasoning was briefly explained in a post on his Facebook page, in which he explained that he has lost all interest in Dota and will not even be playing casually. Subsequently, his Facebook page is in the process of being deleted, which is expected to be completed within two week's time. He stated that his three Steam accounts with Dota 2 added will be given away.

PlaymatE's earliest exploits included a string of strong personal feats in mousesports , which allowed for him to showcase his talents and subsequently become a national DotA star. He then joined MeetYourMakers , where he gained the most notoriety of his career, both before and after the closure of MYM's doors in 2009. Last August, he trained for and attended The International, where the Danish roster of MYM made their final appearance, with a 4th place standing and $80,000. In October, PlaymatE was announced as a founding member of the then-internationally-based Evil Geniuses , which became the dominant Western-based Dota 2 team, until his departure in February of this year. PlaymatE has been with the roster of Copenhagen Wolves since the team left Quantic Gaming at the end of April.

Although the Copenhagen Wolves Dota 2 roster will not be disbanding, the stability and security of the team has been compromised for current tournaments. The team has cancelled their participation in the GosuLeague replacement qualifier. Copenhagen has widely been speculated as being one of the two final invites to The International 2012- whether or not this roster issue may have an impact on Valve's decision on the matter remains to be seen.
