Ogre Magi to join the hero pool

ImageOne of the most arguably influential DotA heroes will now enter the fray in tomorrow's regular Thursday update implementation.

Certainly one of the most conflicting heroes from the original Defense of the Ancients mod, Ogre Magi, is entering the battlefield of Dota 2 as of this Thursday's patch. This Radiant Intelligence hero is notable as a formidable force that is best employed with multi-casting his Bloodlust ability, which incites an ally with a universal speed boost.

Amongst the gameplay additions and modifications, last week's release of Treant Protector has been implemented into Captain's Mode. In addition, disconnected players will now receive an icon for the duration of their departure from the game. The spectator experience will become more enhanced, as well, with an initial iteration of a respawn time for Roshan.

Fans speculated and hoped for the acclaimed Dota shoutcaster AU Toby "TobiWanKenobi" Dawson to have had his recent recording session with Valve Corporation to pertain to Ogre Magi. Unfortunately for them, it is not the case, as the critically-acclaimed voice actor Nolan North of the Uncharted series lent his vocal talents. According to the Dota 2 development team, pertaining to the status of the individual heroes, the likely candidates for the next few released include Gyrocopter, Undying, Meepo and Nyx (Nerubian) Assassin.
