Only two days after EHOME got invited, now it's time for some European teams to get their invites as well. It's Counter Logic Gaming's turn to get ready for Seattle.Valve have announced the eighth team who will participate in The International which will be held from 31 August to 2 September in Seattle.
Counter Logic Gaming is the second European team to get an invite after
Natus Vincere . Only eight more slots remain, six of which will be for invited teams and the last two will be taken by the wildcard winners.
CLG are one of the most consistent teams in the EU scene, always being in the TOP 5 having rare and insignificant drops in their form. In their last LAN event - the Starladder finals - they finished third, losing only to Na`Vi and M5.
As we wrote previously, CLG announced some squad changes - former captain
Jonathan 'Loda' Berg and
Johan 'smulgullig' Gidmark left and were replaced by
Rasmus 'MiSeRy' Berth Filipsen and
Dominik 'Lacoste' Stipic. Their new line-up seems pretty strong as they recently beat Na`Vi in their last game.
Counter Logic Gaming roster:
Pers Anders 'Pajkatt' Olsson Lille (c)
Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall
Jesper 'Mirakel' Nyhlén
Rasmus 'MiSeRy' Berth Filipsen
