WEM 2012 to feature CS 1.6, SC2 & LoL

ImageWorld e-Sports Masters 2012 will possibly be held on October 23-28 in Hangzhou, China featuring Counter-Strike 1.6, League of Legends and StarCraft II.

World Esports Masters 2012 has been confirmed to take place at the Hangzhou West Lake International Expo in Hangzhou, China. The dates for this event, despite being rumoured to be October 23-28, are still yet to be confirmed as the event's organisation is still negotiating with local government. This year's edition will feature Counter-Strike 1.6, Starcraft II and League of Legends tournaments.

In terms of CS 1.6, WeMade FOX was the last team to take the World e-Sports Masters title in 2010 after defeating SK Gaming 2-1 in the final, earning themselves $22,000. In 2011, WEM announced that the tournament would be postponed until this year thanks to difficulties related to the organisation of the event. also reported that the tournament will change the competition format, which will then feature a qualification-phase instead of the usual direct invitations. The same site revealed that the tournament is scheduled to be bigger than previous editions, though it remains to be see
