3. Janna - The Storm's Fury

Total games played: 294,887
Wins: 159,243
Losses: 135,644
Win%: 54.00 %
Average Kill/Death/Assist: 0.9 / 3.4 / 11.8
Support is a very important role, no matter the ELO and Janna is one of the best at it. Even though she has no healing ability like other supports like Sona, Taric or Soraka, her shield is more than sufficient to keep her partner safe during laning phase. Her skillset compliments aggressive game play – disabling and negating the enemy team is where Jana is unrivaled in her class. There can be problems with her mana costs and cooldowns, so players should always have in mind that before engaging. Janna's ultimate is the best teamfight resetting tool in the game. It can be very tricky sometimes, since it might also save an enemy from death or put her teammates in danger. She is in a class of her own when it comes to utility and that's why she's one of the 3 most played champions.
2. Graves - The Outlaw

Total games played: 315,886
Wins: 167,724
Losses: 148,162
Win%: 53.10%
Average Kill/Death/Assist: 6.3 / 4.2 / 6.3
Unlike the other champions of his class, Graves is quite durable from the very beginning of the game. His passive allows him to stay in the fight a lot longer than most AD Carries and his burst could eventually score him some early kills. He snowballs really well and has a great built-in escaping technique in case enemy jungler decides to drop by. Graves can also zone pretty well using his Smokescreen. It's a very useful tool and can be very deadly if placed well, as it disables vision in a small area. He is one of the best AD Carries that Riot has created so far and he fits well in every team composition. Graves is the most played champion of his class, and the second most played ever!
1. Soraka - The Starchild

Total games played: 377,481
Wins: 204,177
Losses: 173,304
Win%: 54.09 %
Average Kill/Death/Assist: 1.2 / 3.8 / 11.8
Meet Soraka – a true example of a dedicated support and one of the best in the game. The reason she's the most played champions is her ability to babysit her partner like no other. Providing almost infinite heal and mana, every AD Carry is delighted to have Soraka by their side. Furthermore Soraka's ability to save teammates across the map can make a team very dependent of her skills as the game develops. All in all Soraka is a powerful and versatile support champion. The ability to silence and apply a stacking MR debuff makes her an unexpected hit-and-run champion while retaining the sustained support role. Is she for everyone? Absolutely not. In a team that understands your play style and hero limitations Soraka transcends to a capability unmatched by any other champion of her class.

Well, Soraka's skill "Astral Blessing" only grants armor. The magical resist it's only from her passive.
