Less than a week ago the DreamHack organisation announced that their next event, DreamHack Summer 2012, will feature a CS tournament. SK Gaming were invited and will fight for the $15,000 up for grabs.DreamHack's organisation has announced that their upcoming event will feature a CS tournament, featuring 8 teams and a $15,000 prize pool.
SK Gaming ,
Lemondogs ,
fnatic ,
Moscow Five ,
ESC Gaming and
Natus Vincere are the 6 participating teams that have been invited, who will be joined by the two top teams of the BYOC tournament that is also taking place on the first day of the event. DreamHack Summer 2012 will take place in Jönköping, Sweden on June 16-18.
The prize money is practically the same as the Summer event in 2011 but has a rather big drop since their last tournament at DreamHack Winter 2011, which gave away over $31,500 in prize money and computer gear. There is also a drop on the participating teams number, as the very same tournament last year featured 16 squads and will only feature 8 this time.
The final will be played on Monday 18 June, a somewhat unusual move by the tournament organizers. The groupstages will start on Sunday 17 June and will be played in a best-of-one mode, with the two top teams of the two 4-teams groups going through. The play-off will consist of a best-of-three single elimination bracket.
The 2012 Swedish Championship will also be played at the venue, featuring once again the top Swedish teams
