The second place goes to EU Counter Logic Gaming EU’s GB Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis. The Scottish player used to be known for his Jax pentakills way before joining a competitive team for the first time and focusing on the jungler role. After the jungle rework he used to experiment with all kind of heroes like AD carries for instance and had decent success with Vayne (before the nerfs) and Karthus as junglers. He was one of the first who introduced early oracle for junglers and what’s more, he also made Alistar a very popular pick in competitive play. His aggressive headbutts from behind the enemy turrets are quite famous and are constantly securing kills for the laners.

Snoopeh’s favorite champion is Amumu. He has stated a couple of times that he would really like to see some buffs for the little sad mummy, which would make him more viable in competitive play. His most played champs in tournaments are Maokai and Alistar, and he has recently picked up Olaf and Mundo. An interesting fact for Snoopeh would be his refusal to play Lee Sin. Even when he was one of the most picked junglers, he was saying that he is not that strong and people just need to learn how to play against him.

Snoopeh’s solo queue ELO is 2486 with 715 wins, 584 losses and a 55% win ratio. His 15 most played champions are junglers (if we include Karthus in this list). Additional information from his Summoner profile is provided below:

Maokai: won 60; lost 56; win ratio 51.7%

Alistar: won 67; lost 48; win ratio 58.3%

Karthus: won 43; lost 26; win ratio 62.3%

The number 1 spot this week goes to RU Daniel 'Diamondprox' Reshetnikov from the mighty team of RU Moscow Five . He is the guy who introduced Shyvana as a top pick in the jungle at IEM Kiev and the one who showed us how effective the constant counter-jungling could be. He has literally destroyed the game for almost every enemy jungler in the past two IEM events, making them fall behind in farm and levels until they just weren’t a factor in the game anymore.

When asked at IEM Kiev, if Shyvana was that strong, Diamondprox said she wasn’t, but he just enjoyed playing her very much. And yes, it’s true that she for instance lacks crowd control, but she has lots of damage in the early game and when combined with the right champions in lanes, it’s not such a disadvantage anymore. What’s more, she has very fast clear times and is one of the best choices for counter-jungling.

Another champion Diamondprox excels at is Lee Sin. With his high mobility, great damage and CCs he’s also very good at counter-jungling and escaping if necessary, too. His W spell, which lets you jump to a ward, was used with a great success at the IEM World Championship finals, when Diamondprox was constantly putting down wards, jumping on them and landing his Q for fast and surprising ganks.

His solo queue ELO is 2436 and his ranked stats are 389 wins, 161 losses and a 70.7% win ratio. 11 of his 12 most played champions are typical junglers. Here are some amazing numbers from his Summoner profile:

Lee Sin: won 115; lost 37; win ratio 75.7%

Shyvana: won 37; lost 14; win ratio 72.5%

Xin Zhao: won 35; lost 12; win ratio 74.5%

This is the end for now, dear Summoners, but don’t forget to check back next week, when we will conclude our EU-West journey through the different roles in the game with the Solo Top players.
