ImageThe IGN Pro League have now opened up the sign ups for their regional qualifiers. The winner of the NA qualifiers and the winner of the EU qualifiers will automatically be invited to the IPL 5.

2012 is a big year for Riot and their community. There are many tournaments that have been covering League of Legends or will be covering it, and now the tournament spree continues:

In the next few months, the IGN Pro League are going to host eight regional online qualifiers, four of them in North America and for of them in Europe. By proceeding like this, it will be shown which teams will have the honor of playing at IPL 5.

But the automatic invite to participate at IPL 5 isn't all the winning team from each qualifier can achieve. Addiotionally to that, they will win a prize money of $ 1000. The other teams still got the possibility of fighting for their attendance at IPL 5 by entering the subsequent qualifiers.

It will be four qualifiers taking place in each region and each qualifier will be following the popular best-of-three format. Each qualifier will be using 32-team brackets, but only the one team who will be ranked first will automatically get invited to IPL 5.
When the winner has been named for both the NA and EU qualifiers, the winning teams will fight in a round-robin tournament to determine seeding.

Starting now, teams can sign up at IPL's homepage. It's possible to sign your team up until a few days before each qualifier, the number of qualifiers each team can sign up for is unlimited.
