Last hitting minions as the carry

The most important thing an AD carry has to do early game is to last hit. To be able to carry your team to victory as an AD carry, you need an insane amount of gold. You are not really able to make big plays as an AD carry early, for that reason you should just focus on every single minion kill instead. Unlike in middle or top lane, you don’t get punished as much for taking a last hit outside of the "safe zone". The reason for that is fairly simple: you have more sustain, and someone to protect you if the enemy decides to attack (the support).

If the enemy pushes you to the tower, you should ask your support to land one auto attack on every minion that’s at full HP. This way there is no risk of missing a last hit after the tower hits caster minions once or melee minions twice.

Touching minions as the support

Even if the supports should leave their AD carries the job of last hitting, you can help him a little bit. Many AD carries don't really have that high of a base attack damage and fail to last hit under tower. So how can we fix that problem? If your AD Carry doesn’t have enough base attack damage to kill a melee minion after two tower hits or a caster minion after one tower hit, you can hit the minion before or after the turret hits him once and just let your AD carry deal the finishing blow. Every top support player does that when they play with their AD carries. However, in solo Q you should be a little bit more careful. Why? In solo Q people never depend on their supports 100%, and don't always expect them to help them farm. For that reason they try to hit the minions once themselves before dealing the killing blow. By hitting the same minion your AD carry did you can steal the CS, or at the worst case, you’ll lose the minion to the turret.

Don’t be too shy to take the few CS you need to complete your Philosopher’s Stone or some other item. Your AD carry won’t be that greedy and will give you those few minions you need if you ask him nicely. Everyone wants to win, if giving your support a couple of CS means winning, then be so. You can also farm a lane when no one is close to a huge minion wave that is getting attacked by the turret. There’s no point in sacrificing minions to the turret instead of taking them for yourself, even if you are the support.

Tips and tricks for the AD carry

As an AD carry always attack the closest target in a team fight. Even if you see their AP carry escaping with 10% hp, do not jump on him. Keep dashing out constant damage, your team should finish off the rest.

Try not to use flash when your team is engaging on enemies just to get closer. If your enemy decides to jump on you, chances are high that flash was your only escape and you already wasted it.

Help your support to ward if he asks for it. Sometimes it’s not entirely safe to go into the river alone, if your support asks for your help, follow him.

When playing solo Q, ping the enemy when you want to go into a 2v2 fight with your support. Sometimes your support's and your mindsets are different, pinging will make everything far more simple.

Tips and tricks for the support

If enemy just used a pink ward to clear a ward that you placed in a lane brush, there is a high chance that the enemy jungler is coming to lane-gank your lane. Just tell your AD carry not to be over-aggressive if the enemy just cleared a ward in your side brush.

If you took CV and your jungler is coming to gank, make sure you CV your lane brushes so you have vision of the enemy when your jungler is very close. This way it’s far easier for your jungler to land his CC skills.

Don’t buy Oracle’s too early. If you buy Oracle’s at 10th minute as a support, there’s really not that much use for it. Unless you’re somehow able to roam all the time, don’t buy a really early Oracle’s.
