Introduction to: the bottom lane
Bottom lane compositions
There are many possible compositions of AD carry + Support lane. I’m not going to provide you all of them, but I will provide a few and explain why they work instead. I believe it’s far more educational this way. How the popular saying goes, "Give a man a fish, you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, you feed him for a lifetime."

Caitlyn and Taric – Why does this lane work so well? There’s a little stun and trap trick you can use for chain cc. It works fairly simple, Taric runs to an enemy and Dazzles him, just when Taric’s Dazzle stuns the enemy, Caitlyn places her Yordle Snap Trap. This little combo immobilizes your enemy for 3 seconds! Taric is just an amazing support for Caitlyn. The stun from Dazzle really lets Caitlyn to exploit her early game power. Taric offers healing, AD steroid, armor buff, and some CC. All of this makes Taric a great support champion.
Graves and Leona – Such an amazing burst kill lane. Once Leona and Graves hit lvl 6 you should be extremely careful playing against them. Leona landing her Zenith Blade onto you once both Graves and Leona are lvl 6 will result in you either dying or wasting both of your summoner spells. Graves’ Buckshot, Collateral Damage, and all four of Leona’s abilities sums up to an insane amount of damage. However, this lane can be fairly easy if the enemy Graves and Leona don’t time their abilities right. You can also win the lane if you don’t go "all in". Just try to farm and harass them a little bit. Leona doesn’t offer any kind of lane sustain.
Corki and Blitzcrank – Another burst kill lane, this one is a bit different though. Where Leona and Graves are really dependent on their ultimates, Blitzcrank and Corki aren’t. You always have to be concentrated when playing against Blitzcrank, otherwise a wild hook will appear from nowhere and get you killed! At level six this lane is weaker than Graves and Leona in terms of damage, but the silence Blitzcrank’s ultimate offers is amazing. 90% of the time you’ll find that if Blitzcrank lands a hook at lvl 6, you’ll just get blown up by the two of them with no chance to escape because of the Blitzcrank’s silence.
Having Blitzcrank as a support can cause you some issues however. If the enemy is smart enough not to get hooked by Blitzcrank, and has higher range than you do, you’ll probably end up losing your lane. Another downside with having Blitz as your support is that if your and the Blitzcrank’s play styles are different, you won’t be able to abuse all the potential this kill lane has. One more downside is that if Blitzcrank is unable to land any hooks it’s basically a 1v2 battle. Blitzcrank and Corki are generally really hard to gank because both of them have abilities that offer an escape mechanic.

Urgot and Alistar – The strategy I’m about to tell you about is extremely uncommon in solo queue games, but it was very effective for
Moscow Five in IEM Hanover. Basically Urgot is one of the very few AD carries who can hold his ground 1v2. Moscow 5 abused that and just let Alistar roam and gank the entire game. It was extremely successful as it gave room for counter jungling as well as good ganks. I wouldn’t really recommend using it in solo queue because your team is usually unorganized, but this can definitely be viable if you try it with a premade 5 team.
Kennen and Janna – Janna works so good with Kennen. Why? Because of Janna’s Howling Gale and Zephyr. When Kennen uses his ultimate, even if the enemy flashes, Janna can use Howling Gale for Kennen to catch up to the enemy and stun. Zephyr is fairly similar, you just can’t get away from Janna and Kennen because of all the crowd control. Janna’s Eye of the Storm gives a decent amount of AD to Kennen who can really hurt with both magic and attack damage early game. It’s also insanely hard to gank Kennen and Janna lane because both of them have really strong escape mechanisms and a bunch of CC.
Graves and Soraka – Oh that armor… Graves’ passive and Soraka’s Astral Blessing makes you lose every trade against these guys. If you’re up against an AD carry who only uses AD, even for his abilities, there’s literally no way you will lose with this lane composition. If you got gankied many times by the enemy jungler you can still afk farm with a Soraka support. Soraka is the queen of sustain.
Ashe and Soraka – Probably the most boring lane in this game. Soraka offers the sustain Ashe needs to AFK farm all game long and become a monster late game. Soraka heal is really weak in early levels, you should capitalize on that. After Soraka gets her Astral Blessing to rank 4 or 5, the chances of you killing one of them are fairly low. Don’t forget that Ashe’s 1st auto-attack is always a crit because of her passive, try to stay away from her until she critical hits a minion. Both Ashe and Soraka don’t have any ability that they could escape with. Your jungler should definitely keep that in mind and gank bottom often.
