The date we have all waited for has been revealed as well as other interesting details about the Season 2 Championship.

Riot Games finally announced the so anticipated until now date for the Season 2 Championship - 13 October 2012. The company which brought us League of Legends will host the tournament in their HQ hometown - Los Angeles, California, and will offer the biggest prize pool in eSports history as of today - 3 million dollars.

Prior to the thrilling conclusion of the season there will be 6 Regional Finals which will decide the teams travelling to L.A. The dates and locations are:

Mainland China: July 26 - Shanghai, China at China Joy

Europe: August 16 - Cologne, Germany at Gamescom

North America: August 31 - Seattle, United States at PAX Prime

Korea: September 21 - Seoul, Korea at the OGN eSports Stadium

Taiwan/Hong Kong/Macau: September 22 - Taipei, Taiwan at G1

Southeast Asia: September - Singapore at Garena Carnival
