ImageRiot Games came out with a huge announcement about the next big offline events featuring League of Legends. Read on for all the available information.

League of Legends' Season 2 has been in full swing for half an year already and we've witnessed three great challenger circuit events so far. Yesterday Riot Games surprised us all by announcing the next 4 big offline tournaments which will reward the teams with circuit points and provide us with great matches to observe.

Major League Gaming Spring Championship

When: June 8-10

Where: Anaheim, California, USA

Prize Pool: $40,000

We've already shared with you MLG's announcement that they are going to feature League of Legends for the rest of their 2012 season. The game was part of two of MLG's events last year and had a lot of success, so there's no doubt the incoming tournament will be nothing you would want to miss either by visiting the event or watching from home.

European Challenger Circuit: Dreamhack Summer

When: June 16-19

Where: Jönköping, Sweden

Prize Pool: $40,000

League of Legends goes back to the place where the Season 1 Championship was held but this time with a tournament only for European teams. 256 teams will take part in a series of online qualifiers who will run each week in May, but only 4 of them will win an invitation to Dreamhack. At the event itself, 64 more teams will have to decide the remaining four finalists through a Bring Your Own Computer tournament. Sign-ups for the online qualifiers should be open in the next couple of days as May is just around the corner.

European Challenger Circuit: Poland

When: July 28-29

Where: Warsaw, Poland

Prize Pool: $40,000

Apparently Riot wants to give back to the European community after we saw a couple of NA only tournaments last year and we see nothing bad about that. Seven of the teams that will participate in the offline tournament will be picked by online qualifiers running through May and June, including an online showdown between the best from EU West and EU Nordic & East. Another online qualifier – this one Polish-only – will decide the eighth and final team in the tournament. More info will be available shortly!

IPL 5

When: TBD

Where: The United States

Prize Pool: TBD

After IPL 4's amazing success, the people behind it wasted no time planning the next event. As we've already informed you sign-ups for the online qualifiers are open and the offline tournament will feature 4 teams from Europe, 4 from North America, 4 from Asia, IPL 4 winner US Team SoloMid and 3 more teams selected by a live event qualifier.

All these great tournaments are telling us two things - first, that Season 2 won't be over at least until the end of July or even later if IPL 5 gets scheduled for August or September; and second - that we're looking ahead for a very hot and packed with League of Legends action summer. Hope you are just as excited about that as we are!
