ImageShowing their new line-up for the first time offline, TSM managed to take the 1st place after an amazing series with their biggest rivals CLG.

After two days of intense competition in Las Vegas, Nevada, last night was the time for the last 3 teams standing to decide who will take home the title of IPL 4 champion. You can read below all the details of how things unfolded through the night.

Lower Final: CA Counter Logic Gaming vs CA Team Dignitas

Game 1:

CLG Bans: Lulu, Soraka, Ryze
Dignitas Bans: Udyr, Shen, Nidalee

CLG Picks: Shyvana, Cho Gath, Anivia, Janna, Vayne
Dig Picks: Dr. Mundo, Karthus, Taric, Jax, Kog' Maw

Game 1 started with the aggressive counter-jungling CLG has showed throughout the whole tournament; this time they stole dig’s red buff. First blood though was taken by Voyboy and dig also took the 1st dragon, which wasn’t much of a surprise as CLG is usually known for not contesting it early in the game if they don’t have the advantage. Minutes after that Doublelift managed to kill Qtpie but Voyboy teleported bot and grabbed a double kill. Dignitas continued their early dominance with a 2nd dragon and a long team fight in bot lane and CLG’s jungle which ended with 4 kills for dig and a baron kill, and only 1 kill for CLG. CLG though had no intention of losing the game – they took their 1st dragon and the next baron which was followed by a team fight in dig’s jungle ending with an ace for CLG and a push which led to their win in the 1st game.

Game 2:

CLG Bans; Lulu, Soraka, Ryze
Dig Bans; Udyr, Shen, Anivia

CLG Picks; Nidalee, Shyvana, Kog' maw, Janna, Caitlyn
Dig Picks; Mordekaiser, Corki, Dr. Mundo, Nunu, Lee Sin

In the second game CLG ran their nerve and tower racking poke comp featuring HotshotGG’s favorite Nidalee, an AP Kog and Caitlyn. The first kill in the game went to Qtpie, when IWDominate ganked bot. It was followed by Scarra and Bigfatjiji killing each other at mid and Voyboy and HotshotGG doing the same up top. Dig then went on for the dragon but CLG managed to steal it and take 2 kills, losing 2 as well. CLG were taking all the towers they could get refraining from engaging in team fights. They still won 3 – 2 one that occurred in top lane. After that they did an amazing 2-man baron. With the buff, CLG went for their final push and with two incredible kills from HotshotGG’s spears, they took game 2 and qualified for the grand final, where TSM was waiting for them.

Grand Final: US Team SoloMid vs CA Counter Logic Gaming

Set 1, Game 1:

TSM Bans – Shen, Janna, Lulu
CLG Bans – Nocturne, Kennen, Galio

TSM Picks - Kog'Maw, Dr.Mundo, Soraka, Vladimir, Karthus
CLG Picks – Udyr, Alistar, Vayne, Anivia, Cho'Gath

As CLG was coming from the lower bracket, they needed to win two sets of Bo3 in order to win, so they got straight onto the job. Game 1 started with both teams stealing each other blue buffs. Saintvicious then ganked top and CLG got first blood on Dyrus. A fight for CLG’s blue after it respawned saw each team take one kill. TSM took the 1st dragon and 2 kills for 1 in the fight for it. A bit later both junglers ganked mid and CLG took 2 kills, as well as the next dragon. Then they pulled off an early not yet warded 2-man baron and at the team fight following it, they killed 3 members of TSM and pushed onto their base until the nexus exploded.

Set 1, Game 2:

TSM Bans – Shen, Janna, Udyr
CLG Bans – Nocturne, Kennen, Galio

TSM Picks – Urgot, Taric, Dr.Mundo, Lee Sin, Ryze
CLG Picks – Shyvana, Soraka, Corki, Ahri, Nidalee

The second game started with all of TSM finding Saintvicious and getting first blood from him. TheOddOne then ganked top and Dyrus managed to get the kill on HotshotGG. CLG returned the fire by sending a 4-man gank bot, which claimed a kill on Xpecial. Reginald then tried to gank top, but both he and Dyrus died. TSM got a dragon and then stole CLG’s blue but got caught and aced, while killing only one. CLG didn’t sit idle and took baron. When they went to push TSM’s bot base turret, they managed to take 3 of them and made them surrender, taking the set 2 – 0.

Set 2, Game 1:

TSM Bans – Shen, Janna, Nidalee
CLG Bans – Nocturne, Kennen, Galio

TSM Picks – Ryze, Udyr, Soraka, Vladimir, Ashe
CLG Picks – Shyvana, Alistar, Vayne, Anivia, Cho'Gath

It was time for TSM to step up their game if they wanted the 1st place and they did exactly that. They finally realized that Saintvicious is in the enemy's jungle at the beginning of every game, so they caught him on the red buff and killed him. Both teams then sent the ad and support players top. TheOddOne ganked bot and HotshotGG died. Reginald did the same and killed Saintvicious, who came to help Hotshot. TSM also managed to take the 1st 3 dragons of the game. In a team fight near baron they took 4 kills trading only one. Then they pushed bot, taking one kill, while Doublelift was pushing top lane until he took even the inhibitor. Soon after TSM initiated on baron, CLG followed them, but 3 of them were killed and TSM took the buff. The same happened when baron respawned, but then TSM didn’t even bother to take him down, they went straight for CLG’s base and finished the game.

Set 2, Game 2:

TSM Bans – Shen, Janna, Udyr
CLG Bans – Nocturne, Kennen, Galio

TSM Picks – Maokai, Cassiopeia, Soraka, Vladimir, Ashe
CLG Picks – Shyvana, Sona, Graves, Olaf, Ryze

Game 2 was all or nothing for CLG and they showed that with the way they took first blood – with a tower gank dive bot by Saintvicious. CLG remained stronger in the bot lane and pulled off more kills on Chaox. They once again tried an early baron, but this time TSM were prepared, though the team fight went 2 – 1 in favor of CLG. With the dead members alive again, both teams went back to baron and TSM managed to take 3 kills and the buff. After a pick off on HotshotGG, TSM were able to take baron once more and push all inhibitors and eventually the nexus, thus taking the 1st place at IPL 4 showing everybody that the change in their line-up was for the best and that their performance in Hannover was just a slump they quickly got over.
