ImageMarineKing won his second MLG title of 2012 by capturing the MLG Winter Championship 2012. He defeated familiar finals opponent DongRaeGu 5:2 to take home the $25,000.

KR Jung-Hoon 'MarineKing' Lee has won his second straight MLG event in 2012, taking down the MLG Winter Championship 2012 title after beating KR Soo Ho 'DongRaeGu' Park 5:2 at the end of their extended series. MKP takes home $25,000 for this victory. The final ended up being a rematch of the MLG Winter Arena final, which MarineKing also won. Since MKP had won the upper bracket final 2:1 over DRG the final became a Bo9 extended series.

One of the surprises of the tournament was KR Min-Hyuk 'Heart' Kim, who made an unlikely run through the open bracket into pool play. Then he won his group and, despite a loss to KR DongRaeGu in the upper bracket semi-final, beat the likes of KR GanZi and CA HuK to reach top three. In the consolidation final DongRaeGu once again handed him a defeat.

EG's HuK made a run through the lower bracket, winning three straight PvP series to round out the top 4.

MLG Winter Championship final:
KR Jung-Hoon 'MarineKing' Lee 5:2 KR Soo Ho 'DongRaeGu' Park
-2:2 Shakuras Plateau
-3:2 Antiga Shipyard
-4:2 Tal'darim Altar
-5:2 Metalopolis
