With the Chinese E-Sports market continuing to grow and expand the IEST 2007 features a preliminary Chinese group stage already underway with 46 Chinese Warcraft players looking to qualify for the IEST Finals.
Eight of the 46 Chinese Warcraft III players are seeded such as WE.Sky and mouz.Fly100% and all players have been divided into 8 groups with the top 2 qualifying for the 2nd group stage. These Chinese group stages will last until the 17th by which time the finalists will be decided.
The finalists after the Group Stage qualifications will join nine invited players from outside China, six from Europe and three from Korea . The players invited from Europe are 4K.Grubby, 4K.Zeus, 4K.ToD, Fnatic.Xyligan, mouz.Sase and Mykhaylo "HoT" Novopashyn from SK Gaming. The three Koreans invited are BeT.Fov, MYM.Moon and Lee "Soju" Seong-Deok from SK Gaming.
The Grand Final will be from the 18th-21st October and SK|aLx will be on site in Beijing following the SK players and providing gallery pictures, videos and interviews.
