Stage Two - Playday 5
With playday five being the last playday of the second group stage, the results here will certainly be very close and exciting, they should also tell us who will be going into the LAN finals later this year, and who will have to play in the playoffs. The strong Austrian team do not have a game in this playday, as they have played and won all four of their matches already, and will be progressing straight into the grand finals no matter what happens tonight. Good luck all teams!

Pre-Match Comments:
This is also another ‘decider’ match. If Germany win, it will put them in first position – and into straight into the grand finals. But if France win, it will mean that everything will boil down to the match between France and Bulgaria, which is still to be scheduled. This is defiantly a game to watch – both teams have skilled and talented players, so there will be a lot of good action here. Good luck to both teams!
Post-Match Comments:
The French team got off to a shaky start (as terrorist), but soon pulled ahead. Just after half way through the first half, France were leading Germany by seven rounds to two, and didn’t look to be holding back. The German team did manage to get a few of rounds later on in the half, but France still led heavily. The first half ended 10:05 to France. As counter-terrorist, France won the first round – and went on to win the next four or so rounds as well. Germany slowly began to get back in the gamer, eventually brining the score level at 5:5. But France only needed one round to win the match, which they soon got, and then went on to gain several more rounds. France won the second half 9:6 over Germany, which added to the 10:05 first half score, gives a final score of 19:11 in favor of France. Well played both teams!

Pre-Match Comments:
With Poland out of the tournament - by coming last in their group, this match is going to be the decider of who comes third and fourth. If Bulgaria win, it will mean that they will end at least third in the group and thus progress into the playoffs. Romania are going to have to win this game to have a chance at staying in the group, because Bulgaria still have one more game to play (against France), so if Bulgaria lose this game, but win against France it will mean that the standings will be worked out on rounds won. Both teams are really going to play their best in this game, and it is on the familiar de_dust2 – so it will definitely be an interesting match. Good luck guys!
Post-Match Comments:
As terrorist in this de_dust2 match, Bulgaria managed to win the first six rounds against the Romanian team. Romania got one round back, but then could not hold off the Bulgarian team for literally the rest of the half. Romania tried, but it was really hard for them, the first half finished unsurprisingly as 14:01 to Bulgaria. The Romanian team started well in the second half – winning the first three rounds. But because they lost so heavily in the first half, Bulgaria only needed two rounds to win the match – which they won, with ease. The second half ended 03:02 in favor of Romania, though those two rounds were enough to give Bulgaria the win. The final score ended as 16:04 to Bulgaria.
Group B

Pre-Match Comments:
Once again, another ‘make or brake’ match. Hungary are currently last in the group, but still have a chance at coming at least third – as they still have one more game, against the UK after this. Finland will also most probably need this to stay in the running for the playoffs, though this will depend on the score between the UK and Russia. This will be an exciting match, though I think the strong Finnish team will be able to take it. Good luck guys!
Post-Match Comments:
Team Finland started as terrorist, winning the first three rounds before Hungary got one back. This round was all Hungary were able to get for the next eight rounds, until they managed to win another – brining the score to 9:2. Hungary still pushed hard; managing to get two more rounds before the end of the half. The first half finished 11:04 in favor of Team Finland. Hungary started the second half fairly strongly (as terrorist) – winning the first three rounds. Finland managed to win the fourth rounds, but Hungary still pushed them back and astonishingly managed to get another eight rounds before the end of the half. The second half ended 11:04 to Team Hungary, which means that the game finished as a 15:15 draw. Hungary did really well to get back, but well played to both teams!
Russia [15:15] United Kingdom

- Snoop, brhr, LeX, pr0bullet & hooch
- dave, reece, marcus, Jamal & paul
Pre-Match Comments:
Team UK have been looking disappointing in this second group stage, but if they win against Russia they will still have a chance at placing second or third in the group – and thus going through to the playoffs. Russia only need to win this game, and it will secure them a second place finish in the group. Both teams are strong on paper, but in the game it might be a different story. This will definitely be a good match; I think it will be fairly evenly matched game. Good luck to both teams!
Post-Match Comments:
Russia (as terrorist) won the pistol round of the first half, and then went on to win a further six rounds before the UK (with some good play by Marcus) got one back. This good play didn’t last for long though – Team Russia continued the rampage they had over the UK in the first seven rounds, by winning the next three rounds. Team UK did improve towards the end of the half, even winning an amazing half eco – with Marcus finishing it off with a nice deagle headshot. The first half ended 11:04 in favour of the Russia team. As terrorist, Team UK won the first round of the second half – with Reece even killing four of his opposition. They then went on to win the next three rounds against the strong Russian team. Team Russian soon brought back the domination they had in the first half, by wining the next three rounds. The rest of the half was almost completely dominated by Team UK, Russia did get enough rounds to secure a draw – but couldn’t get that last one to take the win. The second half ended 11:04 to Team UK, giving the final score as a 15:15 draw. Well played both teams!
