The fifa players SK|hero and SK|sty!a came back from a brief and exotic journey last week. They visited Korea for five days from Wednesday to Monday. They were invited to an international showcup where the twins had to play against three other nations in a 2on2 mode. Ongamenet, the TV channel in Korea which has the exclusive rights to show the World Cyber Games this year from Monza on TV, had shown this cup on the Korean television. Eight people, two players from each nation, came together to play against each other in a 2on2 mode. The players were Davide 'dignitas|ultrasmn' Caleffi (Italy), Francesco 'cube`Ch4mp|On' Di Dio (Italy), Daniel 'SK|hero' Schellhase (Germany), Dennis 'SK|sty!a' Schellhase (Germany), Shuchao 'star.yori.ms' (China), Xi Zhang '3GM' (China) 'giggs' (Korea) and 'gangi' (Korea). We can assume that this was an exciting and heavy cup for SK|hero & SK|sty!a. At the end Korea won the cup with a total prizemoney of 2.000.000 Won. After the twins arrived at home, we asked them, how it was in Korea and what they had experienced there. Have a look at our interview with SK|hero & SK|sty!a.

Thank you Daniel & Dennis that you took the time to answer some questions.
Why is it that you were invited to that showcup in Korea?
"We got an email from Ongamenet. Ongamenet is the biggest eSports Channel in Korea that
broadcasts for example the World Cyber Games or the well known Starcraft League called "Starleague" and so we had some email-traffic and talked about the travel and all the other problems which had to be solved. "
Have you thought about the journey to Korea if you really want to play this cup?
"No.. surely not... just before WCG we get the chance to play in Korea and watching the top nations Korea and China.. so it wasnt a hard decision :>"
Please tell us something about the korean nation and the esport community there. How were you greeted of the Korean people?
"Korea is a very fascinating country. Its a very modern and high tech country where gaming has his position in the society. The people are different than in all other countries.. there is a lot of enthusiasm for esports.. people freak out by watching the esports-broadcast.. its very different than in other countrys. In Germany you have to encourage the people to get into high spirit. It stunned us that every player got an own translator. "
Let’s have a look at the cup. How was the atmosphere there and how did you understand with each other?
"We know all our opponents, so we hadn´t problems.. we respect each player and they respect us.. we had a lot of fun with the Italian player Ultrasm who is really a nice guy :> i cannot wait to meet him once again at WCG :> The atmosphere was really great.. the people are very outgoing and they pushed their favoured team with much enthusiasm :> "
You could achieve an excellent place in the showcup. Are you satisified with this or have you expected more?
"Yes.. we reached the 3rd place and we are satisfied.. we ony lost 1:0 against Korea with the Korean fifa version "fifa online". We never played this version before and the 2on2 modus in it. We even dont know how to change the tactics cause of the symbols :D So it was a very funny tournament for us where we get the chance to watch the skills of the other nations :>
But World Cyber Games is our main aim.. there we will discount with the Asians *gg* "
I thank you for giving this interview and I congratulate once more for your 3rd place. Good luck furthermore especially at the World Cyber Games in Monza!
