SK|bds on the new SK Gaming CS line-up
With the announcement of the new SK Gaming CS line-up earlier this evening (consisting of allen, fisker, GoodFella, Snajdan and vilden) the man behind the moves, Andreas "bds" Thorstensson, answers some integral questions with regard to the new team.
The in-depth interview answers a number of questions which may have been burning on people's lips since the announcement of the new squad, a few examples of which can be found below, with a link to the entire interview below that.
Looking at SK's new roster, a better mixture can be seen between styles. What have you counted on mainly when making the new choices for the team?
I have always believed in giving new players a chance, and allen is the natural choice here, he is considered by many a very big talent, and I hope he can excel with the help of SK. Snajdan is a very smart tactical player, who can really turn games around. We have a very strong ground now, with skilled players, tactical players, in-game leaders and a high dedication.
Allen is a new rising star in the scene, who perhaps lacks a bit of experience. Did this come into account when making the decision to take him on?
Allen has the skill and dedication which we are looking for, just like the old members of SK were back in the days. Yes, he does not have the same experience as the others, but it was the same for them in the beginning. You need to give the new players a chance to gain that experience, and then excel as players.
As we've seen with other teams in the past, it usually takes several months for a new squad to build together properly. Do you think it will be the same with this team, even with the return of Snajdan?
The team definitely needs time to be on top of the game. The upcoming weeks and months will be ups and downs for sure, but we believe in this in the long run, and it is later this autumn where it will really count.
