SK were supposed to play astralis for a spot at the LAN Finals in March but have decided that due to time constraints they are unable to even attend the LAN Finals if they would qualify. With the recent inactiveness following Christian "vilden" Lidström's surgery and the upcoming ATi PR trip to Australia SK are unable to prepare and play the match against astralis nor would they return to Sweden in time for the LAN Finals which are being held the 17th of March. Instead SK Sweden will use the last two weeks of March to focus on preparing for the WEG Masters 2006 where they will meet some of the world's best teams in a high profile event.
The players and the management would like to apologise to the ESL CSCL for this late decision and would like to thank them for doing a wonderful job on running this top tier league. The players and management also apologise to all the fans who were looking forward to see SK play in the CSCL Playoffs.
