By Brian 'qntm' Krämer

ImageThis weekend, it is time for the next series of Reflex GT. Europe's best Halo players come together in Amsterdam, Netherlands, to fight for a price-pool of 1600€. The SK Halo players gave us a short interview for the upcoming event.

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Hi guys, it's nice that you have found some time to do an interview for the upcoming Reflex GT lan. First of all, introduce yourselves to the readers, please.

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "Im Andrew "Ramirez" Corrigan captain of the SK Halo Reach team and I've been playing Halo competitively for around 2 years now!"

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis: "Hi my name is Jack "BlackJack" Lewis, previously played for infused now Western Wolves!"

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "I'm Glenn "Hybrid" Doornenbal. I am 17 years old and I'm from the Netherlands."

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "Hey I'm Alex "Fragby" Lee-Warner. I've been playing competitively since 2008. I'm 20 years old from the UK!"

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: You are a rather new team only playing together for a few weeks now. So what are your expectations for the event?

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "I think we can win the event, but it will be hard. We've practiced a lot and I think that will get us at least a good placement."

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "Even though we are quite late formed, it doesn't lessen our expectations. There are about 3-4 teams heading into this event with the expectation of 1st and we are one of them. I expect nothing less than 1st from this team."

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis: "This team is capable of 1st, we've put a lot of effort into this and I believe we can achieve that."

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "1st. We wouldn't have made the team if we weren't confident that we could win the event. It'll be hard, and we've been a team the least amount of time, but I don't really think that matter all that much. If we all play to a decent standard, we will be very hard to beat."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Andy and Alex: You predict your team to get first at RGT but the majority of the Halo community predicts your team only 3rd place, right behind apeX.UK and Western Wolves. What might be the reason for that?

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "It's completely understandable from their perspective and I'm sure I'd predict us the same given their position. We are quite late formed and Glenn (Hybrid) hasn't really proved himself in the past so it's about right, whereas wW and apeX are all experienced and are safer bets."

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "I would predict us 3rd, if I looked at it from the outside. We are confident though. I can't add much more than Andy, other than both of those teams have weak-links whereas I don't think we have a player like that."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Who do you expect to be the weak-links? Might your weak-link be the communication, as Glenn is Dutch and the rest is British?

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "Well, hopefully they don't take it personally, but the BUKs for apeX, and AdamsKi for wW. It's just my opinion that, for their teams, they aren't quite the best fits. It doesn't mean I don't think they are good players and maybe they will prove me wrong.

I don't think that will be a problem with Glenn. We haven't come across any language barriers yet and things will only improve when we can see each others screens. That is why you have to admire foreign players who play in teams where they have to use their second language. It is not natural for them to use constant communication in English and therefore they have to think more about everything that is said and everything they have to say."

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis: "For Western Wolves, AdamsKi. BUK20 for apeX. I think both of them give away really stupid deaths in really stupid positions.

From all of the players I have played with outside the UK, Glenn has the best communication of all of them. And I agree with Alex."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Do you think that playing under the flag of SK gives you more pressure than in Dignitas (Andy) or LLL (Glenn)? Or are you so experienced that this makes no difference for you?

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "I don't feel pressure from playing for Dignitas or SK. I feel honored to be representing such prestigious organizations but when playing you don't think about that sort of stuff, you just play."

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "No, I don't feel pressure either. It's great representing an sick organization such as SK. As Andy already said, you just play."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Alright, so you seem to feel very comfortable and pumped for RGT.
Jack, can you explain what different types of roles you and the others fill in the team?

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis: "We all have very different playstyles but seem to work very well together. Andy and Glenn are very aggressive whilst me and Alex hold important positions on the map and cover them. Andy is very objective minded whilst I'm very focused on killing the enemy team. Most people would see me as the main slayer on the team but we are all very strong individually."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Let's do a quickfire round at the end.

Andy: Your MVP prediction for RGT?

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "I think Hybrid will be MVP for this event as he has never been on a team this good before. He has one of the best aims in Europe and now it's his time to shine."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Jack: The person you look most forward to meet again?

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis: "Hybrid because he's so beautiful."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Haha.^^ Glenn then: The choke team of the event?

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "Hmm, I don't think a good team will choke. Maybe Western Wolves."

Image
DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Alex: Do you have any e-Sport idol? Can be both, PC or Console.

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "I only really follow Halo in e-Sport. If I had to choose one from America, OGRE2. The guy is amazing.
Europe? Baxter, although I don't like to admit it, he is a player I respect more than most with regards to his accomplishments despite a rocky start to his Halo "career"."

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Andy: Hottest girl on earth?

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "Melanie Iglesias"

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Glenn: Person you'd like to be?

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "Justin Bieber"

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Jack: Who is better in FIFA, you or Alex?

UK Jack 'BlackJack' Lewis:"I'm better"

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: Alex: Is Jack right?

UK Alex 'Fragby' Lee-Warner: "I'm the best FIFA player on this team.
Nah, we are pretty even! But on LAN it is 5-1 to me ;) Jack chokes under pressure!"

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "He hasn't played me yet, so..."

"Laughter"

DE Brian 'qntm' Krämer: haha. Alright guys, thanks for the interview. Any last shot outs?

UK Andrew 'Ramirez' Corrigan: "SK Gaming and their sponsors. Brian Kraemer ;) and the European Halo community and anyone that will be supporting us this weekend at Reflex !"

NL Glenn 'Hybrid' Doornenbal: "Shout-out to SK-Gaming, Turret, Jamking, Kira and of course to you! :)"
