AbsoluteLegends signed and dropped with mTw, they then formed a partnership with CounterLogic Gaming from North America. Now however it seems AL has left CLG although their very promising team has chosen to remain with CLG.If you have followed the League of Legends scene at all you will be familiar with AbsoluteLegends. Starting off as a community site the project grew rapidly and entered the competitive scene with a very promising team including 2 former SK Gaming players.
AbsoluteLegends hit the headlines when they signed (or didn't sign depending where you read) a deal with
mTw . This "deal" ended up dead in the water after AL announced they wouldn't be staying with mTw.
This then took a twist as AL had qualified for IEM Kiev as AL.mTw but the ESL gave the license to mTw. Drama ensued and it ended with neither AL or mTw going to Kiev which meant they also wouldn't be qualified for the IEM World Championships in Hannover.
Now in the build up to Kiev we saw AL sign a partnership with the top team/organisation from the North American server
Counter Logic Gaming .
This deal saw the AL website rebranded as clgaming.eu and also saw the team renamed
Counter Logic Gaming .EU.
Now all seemed to be well and indeed the new team had generated a lot of hype regarding their performances and their chances at being one of the strongest teams in the game.
Yesterday however there was another twist.
AbsoluteLegends announced that the deal with CLG was over stating:
Now this gives no details whatsoever, however the most interesting part is that the promising line-up which had formed under AL has chosen to remain with CLG.
Therefore after the dust has settled it means we now have AbsoluteLegends back where it was before albeit without their star line-up. As a counter to this AbsoluteLegends has signed the now ex-
Mistral eSports team.
The new AbsoluteLegends line-up is:
Aurimas 'Angush' Gedvilas
Vytautas 'extinkt' MÄ—linauskas
Josvaldas 'Prepared' Inta
Algirdas 'Sleper' Saliamonas
Markus 'kottenx' Tingvall
In addition to this AbsoluteLegends has chosen to host a Dota 2 team. They recently signed the very promising team of
Natural 9 .
The
AbsoluteLegends Dota 2 team consists of:
Justin 'xMusica' Bag Yuen
Alex 'blackshatan' Chang
Darcy 'Godot' Jose
David 'GoDz' Parker
Trong 'Snoopy' Truong
David 'r1sk' Arnous
