IEM Kiev came to its end but there was more happening in the past few days than the IEM. Magicfingers left fnatic, Curse beat CLG in the IPL KSS and CLG took 2nd place in the Korean invitational. This and more right here.First we have the line-up change for
fnatic as
Max 'MagicFingers' Dreysse left the team to improve himself more as a player. He stated that him being a replacement wasn't a stimulating environment and he felt that he could be more. Although he had some great times and made friends he is hoping to become a main player in a new team so his skills can evolve further. The team manager
Harry Wigget was sad upon hearing the news as he had found a friend in Magicfingers, he understands the decision and wishes him the best of luck in finding a new team. You can read the official news here.
Sometimes people leave and sometimes people are found. This was the story for
Goose who had lost their player
Lemongod a while back but have now found a replacement to make the team whole again. Goose welcomes their new support:
Curtis 'Curtoky' Windsor. Curtoky has played for Goose before as a substitute but will now be used as a full time player for the team.
James 'Atlanta' Moreland will be laning together with Curtoky,
Jake 'xmithie' Puchero will take Atlanta's place in the jungle. Full statements can be found here, the news of Lemongod leaving can be found here.
Last week was also the second week we could see the IPL Killing Spree Series.
Counter Logic Gaming won the first week where they faced Goose and it was now up to them to start a killing spree. Their contestant was
Team Curse , Curse being the replacement for Goose at the IEM in Kiev had a long weekend ahead of them and the IPL KSS would turn out to be a nice warm up. Curse took the win and the cash prize as they beat CLG in a best of 3 with 2-1. You can watch the VOD here.
CLG needed not to worry as there was another tournament waiting for them in Korea as the Korean invitational was set to play on TV. I'm sure many people tuned in to the Korean TV-station to see the first games. CLG took the second place after losing from
MiG in the finals. Screenshots can be found on bigfatlp's facebook.
