Only 4 players remain at IEM VI Kiev and they are all Ukrainian or South Korean. The two countries will be represented in the final itself, it is now between the remaining two players from each to decide who will do the representing. The final four players competing for the title at the IEM VI Global Challenge Kiev are
Dmytro 'DIMAGA' Filipchuk,
Mihail 'Kas' Hayda,
Jung-Min 'Zenio' Choi and
Seong Won 'MMA' Mun, ensuring the final will be between a Ukrainian and a South Korean.
The first semi-final is an all-Ukrainian affair between the best Ukrainian Zerg player,
DIMAGA, and likely the best Ukrainian Terran player,
Kas. Will Kas continue to beast the tournament with an injured leg or will DIMAGA make good on his potential and represent his country in the final vs. a Korean?
The second semi-final is a battle of the tournament favourite,
Seong Won 'MMA' Mun, and a player who only got out of his group under controversial circumstances,
Jung-Min 'Zenio' Choi. Both had very different paths to the semi-finals as MMA had his hands full but snuck by massive underdog
Feast, while Zenio upset the foreign hopes which rested on
NaNiwa's shoulders.
