Last but not least , you can give some helpful information about the teams and recent changes in the CS scene so that you will catch people's attention in the game !
- High-quality image
- Absence of any problems with the display
- Understandable for each comment, as a person from another country
- Well some things included
What to Improve the stream, you Might want to add health bars. Models, but can change without much feeling for the game. Music During the break, you would add for the entertainment of viewers.
Stream the bridge on the plus. It includes one of the best streams I've ever seen :)
First thing that I notice, most of the time, whenever whisenhunt tries to commentate on the match or to give information, Thorin just instantly cuts it out. Perhaps, it's because of the ping difference that causes the audio transmission delay between you guys. Personally, it seems to me you guys are racing against each other to commentate on the match without giving each other time to finish what one's trying to say. But I think the chemistry could have been better.
The analysis quality is top notch. Thorin is well-known for his in-depth knowledge of Counter-Strike. Whilst whisenhunt brings the excitement and entertainment aspects of the match, like any experienced commentator does. Throughout the match, Thorin and whisenhunt perfectly balances the in-game analysis (e.g.: what's going on with both teams, what strats ESC or M5 are trying to execute) and the outside-game analysis (e.g.: what the strengths or weaknesses ESC / M5 have, historically, as a team, and the players' profile).
Audio Quality:
The quality isn't the best, but clear enough for the viewers. I can hear both commentators.
Additional Features:
I think it would be much better if you guys set up a modified scoreboard (like the one used for WCG / ESWC) and the health bar of each player. It definitely would help the viewers a more enjoyable experience watching the stream.
Minor Issue:
Since most people are not used to seeing the skin of Condition Zero, I suppose changing it back to 1.6's skin wouldn't be a big problem for you guys.
Overall impression:
Other than the chemistry issue & the additional features mentioned above that I think would improve the stream, I had a good time watching the stream. The audio should be tweaked more so it doesn't sound too 'poppy' (I'm not sure if that's the correct word to describe it). Out of 10, it's a 7.5.
Well the most basic suggestion is make some polls for selecting a match to VOD on and also team up with HLTV.org so tat there are more users online :D......Nothing much i felt pretty satisfied wit d stream.....
Overall, VODs' quality was up to expectations and I had good time listening and watching it.
-Change to the original CS1.6 models or Red/Blue models. Using cl_minmodels 1 could be better too.
The 1.6 models are just what people are used too and are somewhat easier to see. Also a lot more easier to see are the red/blue models but they aren't so standard. Still doing a poll to let the people decide is preferable
-Add a scoreboard/health/money/weapons bars addon. Like those we see in ESL events
It's just the perfect viewer extra. It makes it so much easier to follow the teams' economy, clutch situations, players and etc, etc. Also the scoreboard is very nice
-Microphone volume levels
One thing that made a bad impression on me is the difference between the volume of your microphone Thorin and whisenhunt's. Whenever you two talked, the difference between the microphone volume levels made it sounds like you two were "fighting" for the star spot. :P
-The tactical analysis
Whenever you two tried to analyze a situation, you just talked dull theory. Your theory is deadly accurate but what we need is the map overview. It's just easier to understand the situation by viewing it and you two can show even more of your great knowledge
-A more dynamic camera
I'm not very sure who controlled the camera but it was very static. There were great situations where players from both teams made awesome frags and you or whisenhunt shouted something like "oh such great frags" and etc. but the camera was at a different place. It was just out of place so to say. The only thing I saw from the awesome frags was the death notice in the upper right corner while the camera was at the wrong place. Just be more active and switch players more often. Don't worry about the HLTV bug when changing players camera too fast.
-Replace the top-right Orange Box banner
It would be just awesome to see a banner with your logo of SK, the sponsors, your names or whatever you decide to put there. That's just something that will make you unique. An idea: maybe you could replace the Orange Box banner with an animated banner advertising products from your sponsors changing every 2minutes like what I see in most SC2 streams. That would be 100% unique!
-Make the upper and lower semi-transparent bars completely transparent
Again it'll be better for the viewer and if the health/money/weapons bars addon fails, this could be a great alternative and it will make your animated banner standout nicely.
-Change the font and font color
I know it's very, very unstandard but if you apply the animated banner idea the font color must be changed to something fitting too. Otherwise it would ruin the theme. For example, the default banner is orange-ish so that's why the default fonts are favoring yellow/orange color.
-Add something like a match conclusion at the end.
Like who's was the game changing player, who made the most impact, who won the decisive rounds, which round made the difference in the end, a short analysis of the teams' playstyles. What could have they done better in that situation and etc. You have great knowledge so that won't be a problem!
-Improve stream quality
I can't give you very rich feedback but experiment with the settings more. The quality was very blurry in some moments and I think that this is because of your settings. Try using h264 if you aren't or just ask for help, there are many great people who know a lot about stream settings like TheGunRun from twitch.tv (not advertising!:D)
-Force Anisotropic filtering/anti-aliasing
I can't notice that you're using it because of the quality of the VODs but if you aren't, try forcing it to Anisotropic - 16x and Antialiasing - 16x CSAA or 16xQ CSAA, of course if your machines can handle it. Anyway it will make the models/textures much more smoother and enjoyable to watch.
-More in-depth buying/money system analysis
Correct me if I'm wrong but whisenhunt started to talk about it in part 1. The buying is something very, very important and if you add the health/money/scoreboard bars it will be much more easier for you guys to analyse it. I'm sure that viewers can learn many things from that.
-About the silent moments...
You guys are trying your best to talk very much about strategy and analyse which makes you the amazing guys you are but in matches with overtimes it's natural that you can get in a moment where you just don't have what to say about strategy. Many casters just switch to "action report mode". They just say what happens on the map, it's nothing bad :)
-More awesome jokes/laugh
I just love whisenhunt's jokes and your laugh Thorin :D They just make it much more entertaining for me to watch and I'm sure that other people feel like that too, you can do that even more! :D
-Higher volume of the in-game sounds, first half analysis before second half and second half analysis before overtim or music during the breaks.
About the in-game sounds it's self-explanatory, at some moments we just couldn't hear what happens in-game very clearly. Just a slight increase in the in-game sounds will be enough, I think. About the analysis before halfs/overtimes - it's just a great moment! The viewers' minds can more easily recall things if you divide the analysis on halfs for example. Their memory is still fresh and that I think, it's the right moment to strike with your great analysis! In short: analysis on halfs instead of (if added) game analysis after game end.
About the music: something relaxing will be fitting and you Thorin did a great job with the music in previous series where you analysed with Rapha Quake games.
Keep the great stream up, guys and Survive The New Year (http://d24w6bsrhbeh9d.cloudfront.net/photo/1318951_700b.jpg) :D
I hope that I was of use with my feedback, I tried to give my best and all my thoughts.
