The stage two qualifier has now concluded, seeing the final match between Moscow Five and KerchNET result in a forfeit win to the Russians after the match was delayed a number of weeks. The next and final stage of the qualifier will start on Sunday, which will see at least five teams qualify for the LAN event in January next year.

32 teams will battle it out in the final stage of the qualifier in a best-of-one double elimination format, which will see all rounds being played out on Sunday. Both teams will veto three maps to find the map which will be played, among the map list is the recently updated de_forge. Although for definite 5 teams will qualify, it’s in doubt whether or not Evil Geniuses , the winners of the North American qualifier, will be able to attend due to funding, along with the Asian spot, which could mean up to seven of the teams from Stage 3 will end up qualifying.

IEM6 Global Challenge Kiev will be held at the CyberSports ARENA in Kiev on January 19-22, and has a $40,000 prize pool up for grabs.
