After a way too long Heroes of Newerth adventure, the king makes his return to Dota 2. Loda is now actively streaming and will announce his Swedish team soon. The day has finally come; Jonathan 'Loda' Berg makes his comeback to Dota 2. Even though he never really stopped playing Dota, his primary focus fell on Heroes of Newerth where he played for KD-Gaming and Online Kingdom . Just recently he placed 2nd at the NASL Season 2 Grand Finals in Ontario, California where his team lost to Lions and won $9,000.
For those who don't know Jonathan 'Loda' Berg, if there ever was a Hall of Fame in Dota, he would be placed on top of it. Speaking of rankings, he placed 1st at IHCS for a very long time. IHCS was an inhouse league where only the best players were allowed to play. Jonathan 'Loda' Berg made a name for himself in these inhouses, dominating games and making even the very best look like beginners. A game that will for always be burned on a lot of retinas is the one where he played his famous Tiny mid versus Erik 'Bogdan' Olsson's Shadow Fiend.
It didn't take long before the SK Gaming organisation noticed his performances and picked up Jonathan along with his team: Team_Team:
Jonathan 'Loda' Berg
Erik 'Bogdan' Olsson
Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall
Gustav 'Renji' Bergström
Edvin 'KwoM' Börjesson
Kim 'Drayich' Larsson
Other players that joined later once they were part of SK Gaming were:
Sergio 'ARS-ART' Revin
Tommy 'toMpa' Andersson
Alexander 'Snow' Nystrand
Nikola 'minitito' Perkovic
Mikael 'hailo' Grinsvall

The legendary SK.Dota was born along with the legendary name SK.Loda growing together to unseen heights. Picking forgotten heroes, unconventional strategies, you never knew what to expect from the team. Besides introducing the famous Global Strat, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg was also responsible for showing the world how to play Shadow Fiend. As with everything in life the good times came to an end and because of line-up changes combined with some disappointing results Jonathan 'Loda' Berg moved to Heroes of Newerth to try his luck there.
With the Asian community growing, the strategies that once worked amazingly well just didn't work versus the Asians and a new meta-game was introduced with a much slower pace, less room for ganking and thus making Jonathan 'Loda' Berg less effective. By moving to Heroes of Newerth, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg could once again play the way he so much loved and was very successful at it.
The HoN chapter is now closed, a new Dota 2 chapter is opened. Just a couple of days ago, Jonathan 'Loda' Berg announced that he will start streaming Dota 2 games on a regular basis and will announce his team very soon. Here's the post he made on GosuGamers:
A lot of names have been circling around, but the team will most certainly be an all Swedish team. Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall, Jesper 'Miracle-' Nyhlén and 'Noez' have been confirmed by Jonathan 'Loda' Berg himself, but nothing is official yet so a lot of changes are still bound to happen. So here's an overview of the players:
Jonathan 'Loda' Berg
Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall
Jesper 'Miracle-' Nyhlén
'Noez'
Jonathan 'Loda' Berg has also been seen playing public games with Erik 'Bogdan' Olsson. Could this be the comeback of one of the most legendary trio's SK Gaming ever housed? Working for SK Gaming since the very beginning, I certainly hope so. Even though Jonathan 'Loda' Berg will not be representing us, the unforgettable times these guys have given us will always be linked to SK Gaming in some way even resulting into the legendary name tag "SK.Loda". Jonathan 'Loda' Berg had to step down from his throne and a lot of players are currently fighting for it. Can he win it back or is it time for other players to step up and show the world how it's done? Our own Sylvester 'Link' Hoelgaard is certainly closing in on the spot to claim it as his own. To end, I dug up an old picture of the trio in action. From left to right: Jonathan 'Loda' Berg,Erik 'Bogdan' Olsson and Joakim 'Akke' Akterhall.
Whatever you guys decide to do in the near future, we wish you good luck! For those who want to learn more about Jonathan 'Loda' Berg and what impact he had on the community, check out the documentary made by Douma here. Make sure you turn on the English subtitles.

"The temptation of an all swedish team + dota was more than enough for me to switch to dota 2. But its gonna be A LOT of hard practice to even stand a chance vs the big teams ^^"
