ImageTeam ALTERNATE managed to see off the challenge of Team Acer in the Grand Final in Cologne. They took home the €3500 top prize.

The Grand Final of the ESL Pro Series was played last weekend in Cologne. The final match between DE Team ALTERNATE and DE Team Acer was plagued by technical issues as the ISP at the event was suffering many problems.

The first game had to be re-started 3 times due to the connection dropping! Eventually however the game got underway, with Team ALTERNATE taking the first game after some very strong Orianna play from DE Carl 'ALTERNATE F Lord' Lückmann who went 7-1-8.

The second game was not as close as the first with ALTERNATE once again taking the victory, not one to rely on a single player however, this time their star performer was DE Raffael 'ALTERNATE Cliff' who went 8-1-8 on solo-top Riven.

This 2-0 clean sweep of the final may have turned some heads as many will have wagered on Acer to take the victory ahead of their WCG appearance where they will represent Germany.

DE Team ALTERNATE won themselves €3,500 with DE Team Acer taking €1,800.

The VoDs of the finals can be found over on Deman's YouTube channel.
