WCG 2011 Prize Money announced
The World Cyber Games committee have finally released the prize pools for Counter-Strike 1.6, League of Legends, StarCraft II and Warcraft III.
It's only one week away until the World Cyber Games will kick off in Busan,
South Korea. Much of the prize pool distribution is similar to last year, for example $25,000 going to first place in CS 1.6, however this is the first year that the second place prize pool has ever been below five figures for CS 1.6, being $6,000 this year compared to last years $10,000.
Only the top three teams of each game will gain any part of the prize pool, as shown below.
All cash prizes will have 4.4% tax deduction from the Korean government. WCG 2011 will start in
Busan on December 8th.
