Lions swe have slain the monsterous Natus Vincere in three maps to move into a Dreamhack Winter BEAT IT final which will see an All-Swedish battle, as fnatic await them there. Na`Vi looked to be headed to a close two map series win as they took the first map comfortably and then after a big comeback as CT in the second half of mirage were poised to get to overtime.

Instead Lions held on to reach a third map, a dust2 where they took 9 as CT and then had the answer to break Na`Vi's usually tight A defenses. markeloff put on one of his classic AWP smashings as CT on mirage but Na`Vi lost a number of 2v2s and 1v1s to the Swedes, who have been clutch all day vs. Na`Vi and AGAiN.



Lions came into this event as a team nobody was talking about. Their group matchup looked to see them face AGAiN in the first round. In fact they did meet the Poles, just in the other side of the bracket due to mouz throwing the group game on mirage to the Swedes and the Poles tying ESC. To think that Lions would have made it to the final out of a bracket side of SK, AGAiN and Na`Vi, who are considered the world's three best teams, is an incredible feat.

Now it's down to Lions to try and complete a great underdog campaign and stop cArn and fnatic reaching their first Dreamhack title. Most of Lions, without threat, made the final of Dreamhack Summer 2010 but lost there to mTw, with zonic pulling off some memorable clutches. fnatic are fresh off a loss to M5 in the BEAT IT Russia final, leaving them hungry for another title in 2011 before the year closes.
