DHW BEAT IT: fnatic impress vs. Na`Vi & M5

Imagefnatic outclassed Na`Vi and Moscow five on tuscan to win Group C of Dreamhack Winter BEAT IT. Na`Vi go through in second.

SE fnatic have won the stacked Group C of Dreamhack Winter's BEAT IT tournament by defeating UA Natus Vincere and RU Moscow Five back-to-back on tuscan. The Swedes came into Dreamhack Winter's BEAT IT tournament facing a tough schedule as they saw matchups against the CIS region's most dangerous teams standing in the way of any playoff runs. Nevertheless cArn's men impressed as they took out both teams on a map both are formidable opponents on.

UA Natus Vincere 10:16 SE fnatic (tuscan T 9:6 CT 1:10)

Na`Vi looked to be on their way to a comfortable win as they took 9 rounds as terrorists but switching over they found themselves completely outclassed. fnatic were able to execute into the sites over and over and Na`Vi's men seemed incapable of winning clutch round situations. markeloff was practically invisible as CT, lacking a kill for much of the game. fnatic hit 16 rounds without feeling like they were every in danger in the second half and in doing so beat Na`Vi for the 3rd map in a week.

To say Moscow Five are favourites on tuscan shouldn't come as a suprise to many seeing as the Russians are incredibly dangerous on the map against anyone in the world. That said fnatic made the Russian team look average on the map is a credit to the Swede's. Any holes in fnatic's CT play against Na`Vi were firmly closed by their second game on it. M5 did their usual nonstop force and semi-buying but their combinations of AKs, AWPs, deagles and galils couldn't get them more than two rounds in the entire first half.

The second half saw fnatic close the door completely on both the map and the group. In winning against the Russians they took Group C and put M5 out of the tournament. Last weekend M5 won BEAT IT Russia and now they will head home from Dreamhack Winter BEAT IT in 9th-16th place. How that will lie with the M5 owner remains to be seen. The Russians will be looking to redeem themselves at WCG, against an admittedly not so tough field.

Dreamhack Winter BEAT IT Group C:
SE fnatic 3-0
UA Natus Vincere 2-1

RU Moscow Five 1-2
RO The Elder Gods 0-3

Now fnatic must presumably hope for SK to hold serve in Group A, else fnatic may face the task of battling the Swedish team who have never lost to them in 2011.
