Tomáš 'oskar!' Šťastný, likely the most famous and skilled player in the history of the Czech Republic's CS scene, has announced his retirement from competitive play. He will be replaced by
David 'selby' Hloch in the lineup.
oskar! apparently lost his motivation after his team's participation in the WCG finals in Busan, South Korea, was cancelled by the organisaer, despite eSuba having won the qualifier in July. The team was also upset by BEASTS in the final of MSR 2011 mere days ago.

oskar! is one of the few players from the Czech Republic to ever cross over into the mainstream CS public's awareness, thanks to releasing movies and POV demos. His movie 'oskar! High Voltage' in particular impressed many.

"The reason why I'm quitting is I lost motivation, desire to play. I've planned this quite a long time, the one last motivating factor giving me some effort was WCG in South Korea. When I was told about that embarrassing accounting error, there was nothing to keep me concentrating on CS. I wanted to end my not short gaming career winning MSR (SVK Championship), but it did not work. BEASTS played very good, I was expecting this. It's a mixteam which has nothing to loose. They did not had to prove the role of the favorite. They tried their best and they did it. And that was the thing we was missing. With guys from eSuba I've experienced a lot. Maybe I'll be missing those experiences, but it is not permanent, I hope. I planned not participating at IEM qualification, but when I heard duke_duke will be at work and won't be able to play, I'll try to help my team to success for my team and our scene. At the end I'd like to thank all players, who quit already, my teammates, who helped me getting to the top, all players, who are trying to get to the top, even if it is not easy, but everyone has to go trough it. I thank my fans for support and for lot of criticism from the scene, which was rolling at me and my team at the worst times. I'd like to take only the positive criticism, but it doesn't help so often...
I want to thank guys from eSuba for that events, unforgetable experiences and I wish them a lot of success in future. And I can't forget noodle, scop, pigi. Thanks for everything."
