Thirty two teams battled it out in stage one for a chance to be one step closer to going to Kiev in January. The qualifier was played in bo3 format with double elimination, seeing the first two rounds of upper and lower bracket played in order to find the sixteen teams to go into stage 2. Many of the games were eventually forfeited due to lack of ESL premium, or defaulted due to too many config files for Linesman to cope with.
