ImageCounterLogic Gaming have been disqualified from the MLG Providence qualifiers for fielding an illegible player.

After CA Counter Logic Gaming managed to earn their place in the MLG Providence main tournament by defeating US RFLXGaming they were subsequently disqualified for using an illegal player.

CLG chose to use the player US Luis 'Lapakaa' who at the time was registered as a member of US AbsoluteLegends NA.

As a result of this RFLXGaming will now go to MLG Providence in CLG's place. CLG have also forfeited any prize money won.

CLG player CA George 'HotshotGG' Georgallidis made this statement over on Reddit:

"Tournament went behind schedule, RFLX took 4 hours to play bo3. Lilac (korean sub) passed out due to exhaustion on his desk waiting for them to finish. He would not respond to the phone. He was up for over 24 hours because of time zone difference. We were on the verge of getting DQ'd anyway, so we subbed in Lapaka who doesn't even play support at the last minute."
