Sunday saw DreamHack Balkan take place in Constanta, Romania. Sixteen teams went to the LAN hoping to win one of the two paid spots for BEAT IT 2011 up for grabs. It was TeG and Earthquake who managed to take those spots, with Earthquake coming from lower bracket into the final after defeating RB with a score of 2-1. TeG reached the final after defeating Earthquake easily with a 2-0 victory, only to face them again in the grand final. However, the fate was different for the second match featuring the two teams, as Earthquake managed to overcome their previous loss against TeG and picked up the victorious win 2-0. This means that both TeG and Earthquake will receive paid spots to BEAT IT 2011.



Antwerp Aces also managed to secure their spot for the tournament, after winning the Benelux qualifier which took place at the weekend. Only four teams took part in the qualifier, which saw the final come down with a show off between Antwerp Aces and Team Sypher . The Aces managed to pick up this win with a 2-0 score, after a 16-11 win on de_nuke, and a 16-10 win on de_inferno, therefore qualifying for BEAT IT with their expenses paid.



There are only 3 more slots up for grabs for BEAT IT, with the final slots being found during the Sennheiser Nordic Gaming qualifier, and BYOC event at DreamHack. BEAT IT 2011 will take place at DreamHack Winter 2011, November 24-26 in Jönköping, Sweden.
