hero leaves Evil Geniuses
hero has left EG, citing lack of motivation to continue playing. thoMz will be used as a stand-in for WCG Pan-Am.
Jeff 'hero' Mettetal has left
Evil Geniuses , citing a lack of motivation to continue competing in a post on ESEA. This leaves EG with only four official members. The team will use
Thomas 'thoMz' Garcia as their fifth member for the WCG Pan-Am event which is going on today.
Evil Geniuses 's WCG Pan-Am lineup:
Jordan 'n0thing' Gilbert
Paul 'pauLy' Guerboyan
Andrew 'Irukandji' Timmerman
Derek 'dboorN' Boorn
Thomas 'thoMz' Garcia (stand-in)
hero explained in an ESEA forum thread:
hero joined up with EG early on in the last ESEA invite season, reuniting with former coL team-mates dboorN and irukandji. hero's best results during his career were 2nd at the IEM III American Finals with x3o and 3rd at Dreamhack Winter 2009 with coL.
thoMz was also a member of coL, joining in October of 2009. He infamously did not show up for his flight to China for the BEAT IT finals 2010, leaving coL without a team and eventually causing the organisation to drop the CS team. thoMz originally played with irukandji, who was then called dRew, back during the x3o days in late 2009, but left for Gravitas in December of the same year. With Gravitas thoMz won the KODE5 USA finals in 2009 and, after the team had become Turmoil, finished 3rd at GameGune Mexico.
