BEAT IT #3: ESC, Lions, M5 and Anexis qualify

ImageThe BEAT IT #3 qualifier is now officially over and the final four teams to win direct entry into Dreamhack Winter has been decided. M5, ESC, Lions, and Anexis will all join the tournament which begins November 24th in Jönköping, Sweden.

RU Moscow Five were luckily given a walkover into the final vs. SE ESC Gaming swe, as DK Anexis eSports were unable to continue due to two of their players leaving for work. A comment posted by DK Nuggi on HLTV.org explained that the qualifier offered no room for reschedules, which led to Anexis being automatically given the lowest seed coming in fourth place. The team managed to win a spot by defeating UA Natus Vincere 2:1, which eliminated Na’Vi from the qualifier and crushed their hopes of gaining direct entry to Dreamhack Winter.

ESC first secured their top four finish by defeating SE duttdutt, and then had no problems gaining their spot in the final to face M5 without losing a single map to SELions swe. The Russian team proved to be too powerful for ESC, as they went on to win the qualifier by defeating them with a 2:1 score. This has therefore placed M5 in first place, securing them a top seed, and ESC second place with a medium seeding.

BEAT IT Qualifier #3 final standings

1st RU Moscow Five
2nd SE ESC
3rd SE Lions
4th DK Anexis

RU M5, SE ESC, SE Lions and DK Anexis will therefore join up with the other confirmed teams so far: SE SK-Gaming, PT k1ck, FR Electronic Sahara, US Evil geniuses, SE fnatic and SG CREWUNiTY.

Teams who didn’t manage to get a place through the qualifier still have a chance to qualify for the main tournament through BYOC qualifier, but this will involve flying to Sweden with their own PC’s or renting.
