ImageAGAiN and WinFakt eliminated from round 3 of BEAT IT qualifier after disappointing losses, making the chances of attending Dreamhack Winter for the two teams bleak.

PL AGAiN and FI WinFakt Fi have unexpectedly been eliminated in round 3 of the BEAT IT Qualifier #3 after losses to UA DTS and SE duttdutt, cancelling their chances of receiving a direct entry spot for Dreamhack Winter. The 64 team tournament, which will see the top four teams qualify for DH, started yesterday with a bracket of 32 teams.

Both teams could still theoretically qualify via the BYOC qualifier, however this would mean flying to Sweden, and having to bring their own PC’s or renting, without actually being guaranteed a spot in the main tournament which may not be a risk they wish to take.

BEAT IT Qualifier #3 Ro16:
PL AGAiN 11:16 UA DTS (dust2)

AGAiN managed to pass the first two rounds fairly easily, with a 16-6 score vs European team EU 8GB, and a 16-5 win over UA Maverick respectively. However, in round 3 DTS proved to be too much for the Polish team as they were eliminated after a 16-11 loss to the Ukrainians on map de_dust2. This will come as another disappointment for the Polish team as they are still left without an organisation after leaving Frag Executors recently. DTS will now face a hard opponent in the form of SE Lions for round 4 of the qualifier.

BEAT IT Qualifier #3 Ro16:
FI WinFakt Fi 5:16 SE duttdutt (dust2)

Another unexpected event in the tournament saw WinFakt defeated also in round 3 by duttdutt. WinFakt had a tricky start in round one, being taken into overtime by Latvian team LV ROYLE HAKI, which ended in WinFakt taking the win at 19-15. Going into their third match of the tournament, WinFakt struggled for the majority of the de_dust2 map vs duttdutt, which saw them struggling for the large majority of the game to pick up vital rounds. This ended the score line in 16-5 in favour of the Swedish team consisting of players such as manne and dennis.
