WinFakt wins digifest Fall 3:2 over aNimus
WinFakt won digifest Fall 3:2 over aNimus in the final. They take home €3,000 (~$4,180) from the Estonian event.
WinFakt Fi have won digifest Fall three maps to two over
aNimus Gaming in the final. The event was held in Tallinn, Estonia, over the weekend with a €7,500 (~$10,450) prize purse.
The Finnish favourites found themselves in trouble against their countrymen after they went down two maps at the beginning of the Bo5 final but they managed to turn it around and win the last three maps to take the title and €3,000 (~$4,180) for first place. They also found themselves surprised in the quarter-finals as
mystic won the first map, tuscan, in overtime, before the Finns clamped down and won the series 2:1.

The Kovanen brothers (
lurppis and
naSu) were members of the
PowerGaming lineup which technically won the previous digifest event. That event was mired by controversy though as the final was never played out, due to the event apparently not having enough PCs and being unable to finish the event before the teams had to travel home again.
PowerGaming had won the upper bracket and
OK.fi met them there via the lower bracket but the two teams agreed to split the prize money, which had still not been paid out prior to this Fall event, as the Power lineup was temporary and unable to play out the match online.
Assuming they receive the prize money for this event WinFakt will have had a very successful October as they placed 3rd at IEM VI Guangzhou, 3rd at SEC 2011, 2nd at IEM VI New York, 5th-8th at ESWC 2011 and now 1st at digifest Fall. That accounts for a total prize money haul of ~$23,680 for the month.
