Long-standing solo top player has decided to leave the SK.LoL line-up.The well known solo top player for SK Gaming ,
Mike 'Wickd' Petersen has decided to leave the team. In a poor show of professionalism, Wickd chose to announce that he had left SK Gaming via irc and his facebook page.
In addition he has released a statement over on the community page at AbsoluteLegends.eu which reads:
SK Gaming captain,
Carlos 'ocelote' Rodríguez Santiago released this statement:
As the SK.LoL team manager I'd like to add:
The remaining SK.LoL line-up is:
Carlos 'ocelote' Rodríguez Santiago
Patrick 'Nyph' Funke
Adrian 'Candy Panda' Wübbelmann
Stephen 'Snoopeh' Ellis
In addition he has released a statement over on the community page at AbsoluteLegends.eu which reads:
"I decided to part ways with my former team SK Gaming because we had a lot of problems in the team lately. Some of the players often were late, and i felt like some people just didn't care enough lately. I feel like the attitude in the team changed, and some of the players strongly dislike each others, and that's not a team i want to be in. I simply don't wanna support a team where i know i dislike one of the other players.
SK Gaming is a really great team, and they will prolly continue to be at the top of League Of Legends even without me. I wish them good luck in the future.
After leaving SK Gaming, I of course, have to look at my possibilities. I will probably join a team with Wetdream, and try to make something possible for AbsoluteLegends."

SK Gaming captain,
"Life goes on. After begging him to stay, the whole Morning, I found out that is impossible to make him stay. Keep in mind, guys, that I did my best to make sure he doesn't leave SK. Even tho he talks about how bad were his days in SK, I can ensure u that we loved and protected him more than any other player. He is my Online best friend, even after all this sudden, and my mind is totally Chilled about the fact that I always gave everything to help his relationship towards the team. It's just normal that he trashtalks about the team, everyone would do that after leaving, and it's understandable, but be sure that we did our best to make him stay. This is the last and the only Statement me and my team will do about all of this.Good luck , man."
As the SK.LoL team manager I'd like to add:
"Currently there are a few rumours going around which are incorrect relating to Wickd's departure. There is a rumour that Ocelote was told to choose between CandyPanda and Wickd. This is incorrect and Candy will of course continue to play as the AD carry for SK.
Wickd chose to leave the team due to a conflict in attitudes towards training and the current atmosphere within the team between a minority of the squad. It is of course a sad loss to lose arguably the best solo-top player in the EU but as ever SK will look to the future and will look forward to competing in events such as the IEM World Championships.
I wish Wickd all the best for the future as I am sure he will be successful."

Shame...
Goodluck to both SK and Wickd, hopefully both of them find what they want, and both become very successful parties in the future of eSports.
didnt´t you realize your team´s players are like 16-18 years old? they need some guidance! at least if you want the team to act within a "professional range".
wickd made a mistake here but this is no longer of concern. what IS still of concern however: oce is a good player but he clearly is too much occupied with his own ego prior to the teams wellbeing. there are other things such as players being slacking with their attitude right in front of the public (panda). sk management should have realized and stopped that early on. but it seems they just let things roll/ do not care for lol as an esport?
i hope the team and management will finally wake up though.
and if they haven´t yet let me remind them:
lol is important.
it has a *gigantic* playerbase.
it has a very active base of streamers with 10thousands of viewers everyday.
how can a team like sk let such a branch rot?
anyways i hope that these things will improve in the future. and that we will see a player of high skill to fill the ranks and who yet knows that team > ego.
